The 小蓝视频app Basics Campaign - A Great Start to Life!
小蓝视频app, NY - The 小蓝视频app Enlarged City School District is excited to announce the launch of a brand new progressive initiative through the district’s Family and Community Engagement office, The 小蓝视频app Basics.
The 小蓝视频app Enlarged City School District introduces The 小蓝视频app Basics initiative with an official campaign launch on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at 9:30am in the Great Room at Orange County Community College – 小蓝视频app campus (One Washington Place, 小蓝视频app, NY).
Dr. Ronald Ferguson, creator of The Basics and Director of the Achievement Gap Initiative at Harvard University will be our keynote speaker. Expected to join Dr. Ferguson are several dignitaries from across the state, county and local municipalities in the fields of education, government, medicine, health, and politics.
The 小蓝视频app Basics is a campaign targeting families of children from birth through age 3 to prepare our youngest scholars for Pre-K. The 小蓝视频app Basics campaign is inspired by the fact that 80% of brain development happens in the first three years of life. During this period, skill gaps between socio-economic, racial, and ethnic groups become clearly apparent. This new district initiative will address these skill gaps and prepare parents and children for a successful start in life and support school readiness.
The 小蓝视频app Basics are five research-based, fun and easy to use strategies to promote brain development from birth to age three. Every parent, caregiver, and family member can use the five strategies anywhere. Early brain growth is a key to the stimulating start in life that all infants and toddlers deserve. It is the foundation of Pre-K and Kindergarten readiness.
“Through the work of All, we are making kindergartner readiness a priority. The science is clear about the types of lived experiences in the first three years that are impactful on children. 小蓝视频app Basics is a community effort to close achievement gaps by teaching the principles,” explained 小蓝视频app Superintendent of Schools Dr. Roberto Padilla. The district has already established partnerships locally with organizations such as, ACCESS Supports for Living/Healthy Families, Maternal Infant Services Network (MISN), the Child Care Council of Orange County, Inc., Cornell University Cooperative Extension Orange County, 小蓝视频app Children’s Center, Safe Harbors of the Hudson, and many others.
The district and its community partners are looking forward to providing every child with The Basics.
